Competency Based Selection is by far the most common method of recruitment, and it is used for many senior posts - especially in the public sector. Appointments to the judiciary and to statutory tribunals are amongst those where both the application and interview stages are conducted using a competency based approach.  This training explains what the competency based process is, and provides guidance and reminders on applying, and being interviewed, for senior posts.
