Description: If you’ve seen one, you’ve seen, well still only one. Patients with special needs are more diverse and unique than fingerprints. This new and novel program will feature four leading experts on successful management of patients who are anxious or have other special needs. You will learn tricks for management in a dental office, private home, nursing home, institution, operating room, mobile van, and other venues. This unique first-time symposium will include clinical approaches from four people with widely divergent, and successful outcomes spanning many thousands of patients over four decades. Presenters will share their treatment modalities including prevention and emergency care, for every age, every location, any medical condition, anywhere in the US.  A Q&A will follow the four presentations for greater interaction and learning opportunities.

Learning Objectives:

  • Be aware of how personally gratifying and rewarding it can be to treat patients who have special needs;
  • Be familiar with means and methods of performing standard procedures on difficult or unmanageable patients of all ages and conditions;
  • Be able to implement protocols and checklists for treating special-needs patients in the office, hospital, home, nursing home, institution, mobile van, operating room, and elsewhere;
  • Discover the variety of approaches for successfully treating special-needs patients in any setting or venue.
