Description: The Dentist’s Advantage Program, working in partnership with AIG Insurance Companies, has recently completed a multi-dimensional analysis of 5 years of claims filed against dentists.  The findings of this analysis will form the basis for the presentation:  Understanding Dentist’s Professional Liability Claims.

The presentation will consist of three parts:

  • The three leading causes of claims filed against dentists will be discussed in detail.  Case studies will be presented to support the study’s findings.
  •  An exploration of licensure actions against dentists will also be included; together with a summary of actions taken against dentists.
  • Finally, a comparison of demographic data for dentists with claims will be compared to dentists without claims resulting in some interesting conclusions.

The presentation will conclude with a look at Emerging Exposures in the Dental Practice where the growing issue of Cyber Liability is examined.
