Pre-Conference Workshops

Workshop 1 - Sunday 7 February 2016 | 13:00 - 16:30

A strategy primer: taking control of rising shareholder demands and lower prices

In this crisis of survival, companies are battening down the hatches, looking internally to cut costs and drive efficiency. But a tidal wave of stakeholder pressures and volatile commodity prices continue to rock firms. Without a strategy to navigate through this storm – or calm the waters – firms remain unnecessarily exposed to external risks. Mining leaders need strategy that is responsive to and consistently engages with all value drivers, internal and external.

With this imperative in mind, Eunomix invites you to attend a discussion on the role of strategy – and how to formulate strategy to create value - in times of uncertainty. In an intimate conversation, facilitated by Claude Baissac, you will have the opportunity to share your experiences dealing with these key externalities and learn from the practical experience of other industry leaders.

Attendees will leave the session equipped to formulate strategy that creates value in the face of rising stakeholder demands and lower prices.

Leading the discussion for Eunomix will be:
