Conference Objectives
- Facilitate networking and skill development among lactation professionals.
- Disseminate research in human lactation and its integration in clinical practice.
- Stimulate awareness of cultural and social support of breastfeeding families
- Promote ethical, evidence-based practice that protects the health of mothers and babies.
- Promote breastfeeding as the expected method of infant feeding.
- Promote equitable access to breastfeeding and to the IBCLC profession.
- Promote support of families' informed choices in breastfeeding.
Earning Continuing Education
ILCA is an approved provider of Continuing Education Recognition Points (CERPs) with the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBLCE). The conference is approved for 22.5 CERPs. (Approval Number: CLT-108-7)
ILCA is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. The conference is approved for 22.5 contact hours.
