International flights to Montreal arrive at Pierre-Elliott Trudeau International airport (394-7377, 1-800-465-1213; www.admtl.com), sometimes called by its previous name, Dorval , located 21 km to the west of the city. |

Bus 747 (786-4636 ; www.stm.info) runs all day and night, with departures every 7-20 minutes, 24h/24. It stops at the metro station Lionel-Groulx and at Montreal down town bus station (metro station Berri-UQAM). It takes roughly 45 to 60 minutes to reach Montreal and it costs $9.00, including free access to the metro and bus networks for 24h.

Passports and visas
Anyone entering Canada must have a valid passport. A visa is also required for citizens of certain countries.

Prices do not usually include taxes. Two taxes (taxe sur les produits et services – TPS – et taxe de vente du Québec – TVQ) accounting for approximately 15% of the final price are added to the total. Food and unprocessed product (vegetables, bread, meat, eggs, etc.) are free of tax.
There are many cash machines around the city. ATM machines available in bars, shops, etc., usually charge $ 1.75 in addition to the regular transaction costs.

Weather in Montreal in May
Out of the four seasons, Montreal is most marked by winter and summer. The first autumn chills are felt at the end of August.
In spring (from March to May) temperatures start to rise, but the weather remains changeable. Although the snow may melt at the end of March, there can often be snow storms in April. May is pleasant and temperatures are usually around 15°C/ 59°F.
