In 2018 the Industrial Application of Gas Turbines Committee changed the name of the organization to Gas Turbines for Energy Network. The name change is intended to serve three primary purposes. The first is to ensure the many uses of gas turbines to produce energy are encompassed by the organization’s title. The second is to ensure the title reflects a vision of increased awareness about the role that gas turbine systems play in production of clean energy for mechanical drive, heat and electricity. The third is to ensure the title reflects the organization’s function as a network of industry members who can provide expertise to other organizations and individuals in matters pertaining to gas turbine systems.

The GTEN offers a Symposium held every two years for the exchange and dissemination of ideas and the communication of new developments related to the industrial application of gas turbines in Canada, and a Course/Workshop every other year. We hope you can join us in Banff this October!
