Sounds in Motion

SOUNDS IN MOTION Workshop

Saturday, September 14, 2019
9:00 am to 4:00 pm – (6 NYSED CTLE Hours)
Tuition: $215, includes a movement practice DVD and workbook of instructions and materials for 15 weekly lessons.

This all day program will teach you a collaborative classroom phoneme stimulation approach used with preschool, kindergarten and first grade children, and with older students who are having difficulty learning to read.
Originally designed to improve listening and articulation skills, it has evolved into a phonemic awareness and early literacy tool. The two most important aspects of this program are the use of body movements from the Verbotonal Method to train perception and production of speech sounds, and the development of active listening skills for early learners. Strategies for English Language Learners and special populations will also be addressed.

Get ready to move – this technique is unique and fun!
