Camp Day is Here!
We are so excited you are joining us for Event Camp Vancouver! We have a lot to share and look forward to learning with you. Below are a few important details.
Where and when:
Friday, November 4th registration and all the sessions and the Connection Reception take place at the Westin Bayshore. Registration opens at 1:00 pm and the sessions will begin at 3:30 pm. Look for us on the 2nd floor in the Stanley Park Foyer.
Saturday and Sunday all sessions take place at the spectacular Vancouver Convention Centre, West Building Summit Level (3rd floor). Sessions go live at 8:30am sharp so please arrive a little early to get settled before that. We will have snacks both days and lunch Saturday, but you should eat breakfast before you arrive. If you are staying at the hotel it is less than ten minutes down the Seawall, a gorgeous way to start the day.
Saturday night is off-site, so you can meet at the Westin Bayshore at 6:30 pm and join the transfer, or ask us for the directions on Saturday.
Public transit and parking:
The closest SkyTrain station is Waterfront. There is plenty of pay parking at both the Westin Bayshore and the Vancouver Convention Centre locations. What to bring and what to wear:
As we amass acts of green we encourage all attendees wear your own lanyard, bring your own notebook and pen! We will take care of printing your name badge and providing a holder. We also have extra lanyards for those who may not have one.
Dress so you are comfortable. We will be live streaming Saturday and Sunday morning so please be aware there may be times we are capturing you as you share ideas.
Technology and gaming:
As you know we do have a mobile app including our Get Your Green On Game, which can be downloaded to your iPad or smartphone from your itunes store, by searching for “Event Camp Vancouver”. Not sure how this works or don’t have a smartphone? Don’t worry! We have ways for you to share the experience at Camp.
