Eastern Area Director's Welcome

Linking our Legacy to Tomorrow's Future

My Dear Sister Links,

This is the Eastern Area's 45th Area Conference in Atlantic City, NJ where we will celebrate continuing service to our communities and strengthen and build friendships.

At our Richmond Conference in 2017, I stated that in order to move forward, one must go back.  Two years later, in my final term as Eastern Area Director, you have worked together and "moved forward" in our quest to achieve the goals that we set with style and grace.  Your dedication as Links and our tradition of giving back to the community have helped us meet the new challenges we face.  I cannot not thank you enough for taking our Area to new heights.

I'd like to welcome our two new Chapters, Central Massachusetts (MA) and London (UK), and their members to Linkdom.  I encourage Links in our other 76 Chapters to introduce yourselves to and welcome our new Link Sister
s.

There will be so much to do and witness at this conference.  For example, our own Link Dana Kristina-Joi M
organ, of the Washington (DC) Chapter and classical pianist extraordinaire, will perform at the Opening Ceremony.  The Legacy Luncheon will feature the accomplishments of the Eastern Area Directors and their administrations, as well as the programmatic thrusts of the Eastern Area Chapters.  Attendees will leave with their own special remembrance of the indelible mark that the Eastern Area has made on The Links, Incorporated.

At the Civic Luncheon, we will recognize impeccable examples of civic excellence.  The North Jersey Cluster Community Service Project will support Teen Comfort Packs designed to encourage and lift the spirits of teens who will soon age out of the foster care system.  Also, this year's conference will have workshops to enlighten and educate you about what is new in Linkdom.  We will close with our exquisite White Rose Banquet, where we will induct the newly elected officers for 2019-2021.

I look forward to seeing you and to personally thanking you for joining us for a true Legacy conference.

Affectionately Yours,

Natalie H. Fant
Eastern Area Director
