Speaker Guidelines

Providing your Presentation:

You are requested to load your presentation onto the laptop in your presentation room in advance of your session. Rooms are indicated on the conference programme, available by clicking here.  You will not be permitted to use your laptop or Mac computer for your talk but should load it onto the laptop in your meeting room. Each session will have a named folder on the desktop. 

If your talk is scheduled for the morning session, you must provide the talk on the afternoon before.  Talks taking pace after 11.30 must be provided at latest before 9 am on the morning of the talk. 

The operating system on all computers at the conference will be windows 10 professional and running office 2013.

All presentations should be in PowerPoint or some other presentation tool (example Prezi) that is compatible with this operating system

Should your presentation contain embedded DVDs, require sound, live internet connection or any other audio or visual requirement, please notify the congress secretariat at least two weeks prior to the conference at rachel@keynotepco.ie and we will put you in touch with our technicians directly.

Times allocated to talks:

Plenary
50 minutes total time
We recommend 40-45 min for your talk and allow 5-10 min for questions or discussion.

Keynote
Maximum time allowed is 25 minutes.
We recommend 20 min presentation and allow 5-min for questions

Orals
Talks are strictly 15 minutes.  Time for questions is allocated at the end of the session

Poster Presentations

If your poster has been accepted for presentation, please click here to download the preferred poster layout template. 

Set Up and Break Down
Posters can be set up from 5pm on Sunday 23rd October, on Level 2 of The Helix, DCU and we request they are in place by 10.45am on Monday, 24th October.  All posters need to be removed by 4pm on Wednesday 26th October.
