About the conference

The Australian Institute of Criminology and the Victorian Department of Justice are hosting Australia’s 2nd major Crime Prevention and Communities conference, in collaboration with Victoria Police, at the Melbourne Convention Centre on 10-11 June 2014.

This important conference, Building Better Local Solutions, will inform local government, urban planners, policy makers, police, criminologists, non-government community organisations, researchers and students.

Organisers are looking for best practice, best policy, best research underpinnings and best evaluation from contributors across a range of crime prevention projects and programs to inform an international audience.

Conference themes include:
