WHAT HAPPENED TO THE TRAVEL GRANTS
|
We have been monitoring the travel grants since we started CSC. The enrollment in the travel grant program has been on the decline since it was originally introduced. While it offered great value to the 12 members who used it in 2018, we want to respond to a more direct issue that CSC is facing. This isn't the only initiative we're launching to make sure that we have people present throughout the trade show.

WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS?
|
BECAUSE THERE WERE ONLY 20ISH DELEGATES ON THE SHOW FLOOR AFTER 1:00PM ON FRIDAY
We need to make a determination on our schedule for the trade show. Some of our members absolutely need every second that we are functioning, some don't. This year we're making this attempt to see how many need it one way or the other. This is our plan for maxing out the number of members on Friday, February 1. |

WHAT EXACTLY ARE THE RULES?
|
CSC has set aside $10,000 to give away for this year's grants. The same amount we have budgeted for the past 5 years. We will be awarding $75 to every participant who comes to the registration desk after 12:30pm on Friday, February 1, 2019 with a valid registration for either a Full or Trade Show registration. In the event that there are more applications than our budget allows grants will be awarded two per institution, and then on a first come first serve basis.
Grant cheques will not be awarded through mail, lost cheques don't get replaced, if you are not present between 12:30pm and 1:00pm on Friday, February 1, 2019, you will be unable to claim your grant. |
