Assessment Workshop:
Making a Difference in Student Learning - Assessment as a Core Strategy
Wednesday, July 24, 1:00 p.m. - Friday, July 26, 12:00 p.m.
Saint Charles, Illinois

Who Should Attend
This workshop is a team-based event that is open to all member institutions of the Higher Learning Commission. This workshop is beneficial to institutions who are seeking guidance in implementing and maintaining their assessment plans; and to faculty and staff who are new to assessment.

Ideal teams are cross-functional including faculty, staff, and administrators. Teams should include those-such as chief academic officers, assessment directors, and assessment committee members--who are empowered to implement key strategies when they return to their institutions after the workshop. Recognizing that learning and assessment are cross-functional, many teams include representatives from student affairs, institutional research, and other areas responsible for learning its assessment.

Previous participants report the most effective group work is done with teams of 5-8 participants. Each institution is expected to send 3-8 team members.

If your institution currently participates in the Academy for Assessment of Student Learning, please contact Kim Davis for more information before registering a team for this workshop.
