Unleashing the Power of Digital to Drive Value In A World Where The Customer Is In Charge

Adrian Griffin, Services Manager New Zealand, SAP

Digital transformation takes on many shapes and forms, but regardless of how an industry or organisation defines it, its motivation is clear: the customer. In fact, research completed by CIO Magazine and SAP earlier this year found that 71% of ANZ business leaders are aiming to improve their customer experience with digital business transformation projects. In this session, Dima Ceban, SAP Head of Industry Value Engineering, will share insights on how organisations across ANZ are approaching their digital business transformation initiatives, as well as findings from the recently released 2016 New Zealand Digital Experience Report which investigates the correlation between digital experience and business outcomes, and what Australian consumers value most when interacting with brands digitally.

Visualisation and the Digital Journey

John Valentine, Chief Product Owner, SAP 3D Visual Enterprise

We live in the time of the Visual Digital Twin. Show me what I am buying, what I am building, what I need to monitor or fix. Whether it is sports shoes or a car, customers expect to see and individualise what they buy– rapidly, accurately and online. Manufacturers need real-time visual information on the production line for lot size 1. Construction workers need the right version of the design on-site. In this session hear about the power of 3D and 2D Visualisation in SAP’s current and upcoming solutions for Manufacturing, IoT and Customer Engagement and Commerce.

T&G – Our journey to S/4HANA to Unlock Value and Innovation

Theo Van Dijk, Business Technology Manager & Jonathan Good, CTOO

T&G is a global leader in horticulture, with a strong and ambitious growth strategy. At the same time consumers, customers, growers and governments have increasing expectations of quality, traceability, timeliness and technology that enables precision growing. Rather than viewing this as a threat, T&G has reset its operating model and built a strategy to leapfrog competitors by implementing a greenfield best practice S/4HANA solution across all its businesses. Using the latest agile “SAP Activate” methodology and leveraging innovations such as Fiori, T&G started with best practice processes and challenged the business why these couldn’t work. This significantly reduced total cost, standardized physical and system processes and unlocked value and innovation.

Hear How SAP HANA in The Cloud Allowed Approach Solutions to Take Advantage of a New Talent Model

Dean Winfield, Approach Solutions

With on premise design most technologists work in silos and they rarely ask for the business usage, or try to understand the technical capability of the end user, they insist on a fully designed rigid solution, which is out of date, by the time it reaches fruition. In the Cloud we build differently, we design, build, test for usability, throw away, rebuild until we have a solution that is technically sound, with great usability and easy to support.

The SAP HANA Cloud Platform has enabled Approach Solutions to do in the moment processing that allows on the fly calculations of daily costing for shifts and billing; providing in advance crew optimisation, profitability and warning of pending fatigue situations. It is continuously in touch with your teams, using HANA’s mobile integration capability.

Hear how a completely new development team was formed from scratch and learned how to fully utilize in-memory technology with built in analytics. They’ve created easy to use, graphical, intuitive user interfaces that appeal to all types of users and enable in-the-moment decision making. You’ll also discover how Australian software companies/start-ups can gain access to seed funds to revolutionise other software market categories with the Hana Cloud Platform.

Demo Jam - Predictive Customer Insights

Dr Asdul Islam, Development Lead, SAP Innovation Center Network Silicon Valley

Predictive Customer Insights is a Big-Data application on the SAP HANA Cloud Platform for continuously monitoring and predicting the churn risk of customers, allowing businesses to retain customers before they churn. The solution mines, predicts, and captures known and unknown leading indicators of customer behaviour within the digital finger print of events and patterns (e.g. churn). This enables businesses to take proactive action either before, during, or after the customer interaction to improve customer experience.

Customer Innovation Roadmap

Ryan Blackwood, Director SAP HANA ANZ

As organizations begin their transformation to become a digital enterprise, the unequivocal and natural starting point and enabler is the core technology infrastructure upon which a company runs. The reason to begin at the core of your business is simple: organizations with a modern, digital enterprise platform will be more agile and responsive to their customers than their competitors. Ryan will provide an update on the key technologies making this possible: in-memory, big data, spatial, IoT and mobility. More importantly Ryan will outline the tools and services that can help make your next step an easy one.
