                                                Event Location: Downtown Pittsburgh
                                                Run/Walk Cost: $25 entry fee 
                                                Attire: Best Fun Run/Walk Attire or Team Costumes

Creating a Team or Individual Participant

The goal of the 5K Run/Walk is  to raise funds in support of the mission of the Institute for Oral Health, it’s not how fit you are, it’s how much money you can raise!  Participate as an individual or form a team and begin cultivating support ASAP!  You are challenged to organize and fundraise to bring increased awareness about oral healthcare!

Team options could include:

  • Individual – walk/run solo
  • Students – this is a great way for your schools to get involved- create a school team
  • Exhibitors – gathering your staff and create a corporate team
  • Friends – create a team of friends
  • Alumni – are former classmates attending the meeting? create a team and participate together
  • States – create a state team
  • Components – create a team for your local area
  • Districts – create a district team

 

How to Setup a Team:

  • Select one person to be the leader to complete their event registration first and setup the team
  • This person will register themselves for the run/walk, when they get to the page that says 'fundraise', they will click yes, then click on 'create a team'. 
  • Here is where the team name can be entered
  • Once this is completed, all other individuals who want to join the team can register for the run/walk
  • When they complete their registration and get to the page that says 'fundraise', they will select the team name from the drop down box

How to Register/Start Fundraising:
  • Before you begin the registration process, are you participating as an individual or as a team?
  • If a team - identify one person to complete the registration first to set up the team name.  Once this is completed, the other individuals can register and select the team name

Run/Walk Event Flow:
  • Line-up starts at 7:30 p.m.
  • Run/Walk kicks off at 8:00 p.m.
  • 'The After Glow' Party immediately following the run/walk around 9:00 p.m. (ticket required for entry)

What's Included with Run/Walk Event Registration:
  • Run/Walk participation
  • T-shirt (provide your size when completing your registration)
  • Admission ticket to "The After Glow" party immediately following the run/walk

In Motion: 5K Run, Walk Fun - The After Glow!
  • Starts around 9:00 p.m. (immediately following the Run/Walk)
  • David Lawrence Convention Center - Rooftop Deck
  • You must add this event to your CLL/AS meeting registration.  Click on "modify registration", then go to the options page and click on "Yes - I have registered for the Fun Run/Walk" (coming soon)
  • Not participating in the Fun Run/Walk but want to attend the After Party? After Party tickets can be purchased for $100 per ticket.  Purchase tickets through your CLL/AS meeting registration under the options page.
