Put the Banff Upper Hot Springs at the top of your list of things to do in Banff. Soak in the steamy hot mineral water where travellers have come to ‘take the waters’ for over a hundred years. Banff National Park’s only hot springs pool welcomes you for an authentic heritage experience that is a favourite among visitors. When in Banff do as the locals do - come in the morning for the most relaxing visit. Water Flow 100 % natural mineral water is currently flowing at the Banff Upper Hot Springs. The elevation of Banff Upper Hot Springs, at 1,585 meters (5,200 feet), make it the highest in Canada. Water volumes from the spring are affected by this unique location and local precipitation resulting in seasonal fluctuations. To ensure the best experience for our guests, heated municipal water is used when reduced flows in winter occur.
2:30 pm - 4:30 pmCave and Basin National Historic Site Visit ($20/person)
The Cave and Basin National Historic Site commemorates the birthplace of Canada's National Parks, which all began in 1885 after the discovery of the hot springs. Visit the Cave to see where it all began, or take a Discovery Tour and learn more about the history and culture about this special place.
