A WORD OF THANKS

A sincere “thank you” to everyone for coming out for The Security Standard.  It was a tremendous event filled with outstanding presentations, insightful discussions, and lively debates.  Reflecting back on the event, three key takeaways jump out at me…

  1. Prevent the invisible theft.  Go beyond the news making data breaches and look to prevent the theft of IP and market foothold.
  2. Device management is key.  The workforce is becoming “tabletized”, and organizations find themselves on new ground determining how to secure them all.
  3. It all comes down to the business.  Critical energies need to be spent on aligning security and risk priorities to support and grow the business.

As security executives, it is important to continue the conversations started at The Security Standard.  Continue to explore the new strategies and technologies presented.  So please keep in touch with the people you met at the event, visit www.csoonline.com often, and make sure to register for The Security Standard 2012 next year.

Look forward to seeing you next year at The Security Standard 2012.

Sincerely,
Bob Bragdon
Publisher, CSO
