Join us for an exciting session featuring the President and CEO of both PCMA and MPI, Deborah Sexton and Bruce MacMillan respectively. Bruce and Deborah will address such topics as what they expect to see in 2012 and 2013, lessons learned from the past few years, how certifications impact our industry and credibility as well as future meeting trends. Audience members will have an opportunity to ask questions so please come prepared to participate!

• Learn the trends and best practices that are moving our industry forward.
• Discover how MPI and PCMA are advocating the importance of face to face meetings and the resources available.
 

Bruce MacMillan is currently president and CEO of Meeting Professionals International, the largest global community of meeting professionals with 24,000 members in 80 countries and 71 chapters around the world. Throughout his career in the hospitality industry, he has held a wide spectrum of positions, most recently as president and CEO of the Toronto Convention and Visitors Association from 2003-2006 where he lead the Toronto tourism industry’s post-SARS recovery, growing the CVB’s from less than 700 members and $8 million to almost 1,100 members and $30 million.  He serves on several industry boards including the Advisory Board for the University of Guelph (Ontario), School of Tourism and Hospitality and the Convention Industry Council.
 
Deborah Sexton joined the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) in March, 2005 as President and CEO. In conjunction with this role, she also serves as President of the PCMA Education Foundation.  Sexton previously served as President of the Chicago Convention and Tourism Bureau (CCTB). Sexton serves the Convention Industry Council (CIC) as Immediate-Past Chair of the Board. She also is an active member of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), the International Association for Expositions and Events, Meeting Professionals International (MPI) and Destination Marketing Association International (DMAI). She formerly served on the Foundation Board of Trustees of both ASAE and DMAI, and was an officer of the Board of Directors of MPI. In addition to the MPI Board term, Sexton served a second term on the MPI Board Executive Committee. Sexton is an ASAE Fellow.

Fees will increase $10 for all categories, except student which will increase by $3, on September 20th after 5 pm.
Cancellations received in writing by September 19th are eligible for a full refund.
After September 19th, no refunds will be offered. Cancellation notice must be
emailed to rmpcma@iplanitmeetings.com.


Registrations after September 20th must be made on-site.
