Ferry Building Marketplace San Francisco (Included with Guest Registration)

Our staff will escort you to the Ferry Building Marketplace located along the Embarcadero at the foot of Market Street. It is the center of a transit hub that connects all of San Francisco's neighborhoods and the surrounding bay communities. The marketplace is accessible by MUNI, BART and Ferry Boat. The historic trolley cars (Line F Market) also stop directly in front of the Ferry Building.

The Ferry Plaza Farmers Market is a California certified farmers market operated by the nonprofit Center for Urban Education about Sustainable Agriculture (CUESA). The market is widely acclaimed for both the quality and diversity of its fresh farm, artisan and prepared foods. It is renowned throughout the country as one of the top farmers markets to visit. On any day, especially Saturdays, some of San Francisco’s best known chefs, and most famous farmers, can be seen at the market. The market provides a forum for people to learn about food and agriculture. Each week nearly 25,000 shoppers visit the farmers market.

San Francisco City Guides offers regular walking tours of the Ferry Building. Tours are free at noon on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Tours coincide with the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market. City Guides is a local, non-profit volunteer organization comprised of more than 200 trained volunteers serious about sharing the fun of discovering San Francisco and its neighborhoods. For party of 8 or more private tours are available. For more information, please visit www.sfcityguides.org.
Enjoy an hour-long walk on the rise, tragic fall, and modern rebirth of one of San Francisco's most renowned historic landmarks. Visit a contemporary swirl of shops and learn the history of ferries, freeways and quakes. Meet at the foot of the stairs at the front entrance, Market and Embarcadero.
