Each registered attendee may select one activity to participate in on Tuesday, May 5. Costs are included
in the conference registration fee.

Bike the Sites of Washington, D.C.



This bike tour covers many of the spectacular monuments of Washington, D.C., including the Washington Monument, Vietnam Veterans' Memorial, World War II Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Jefferson Memorial and the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial.  A leisurely bike ride of approximately four miles will take place over three hours giving you plenty of time to explore your surroundings and experience Washington, D.C. at its finest!

What to Wear 
Comfortable clothing and closed toe shoes are recommended. 

What to Expect
Approximately four hours long, including transportation. 

Bikes, helmets and refreshments will be provided to each tour member. 

Each tour member will be required to sign a liability waiver at time of departure and helmets must be worn
while bikes are in motion. 

  

Craft Beers and Food Pairing


Learn more about the local craft beers and how to pair it perfectly with food! In this interactive class, you will have the opportunity to learn directly from a local expert and leave with a better understanding of craft beers and how they are unique and part of a growing movement in the beer industry. 

What to Wear 
Comfortable attire is recommended.

Ford’s Theater and Lincoln Memorial Tour


April 2015 marks the 150th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln’s assassination at Ford’s Theater.  A guided tour
through the theater will include a special exhibit of rare artifacts including the derringer used by John Wilkes Booth, Lincoln’s top hat and the contents of his pockets the evening he was assassinated.  The tour will continue across the street to the Petersen House where President Lincoln passed away.  The afternoon will conclude with time at the Lincoln Memorial.

Golf Tournament at Renditions Golf Course



Renditions Golf Course features replicas of holes from major championship venues, all located in a quiet and serene corner of Anne Arundel County, about 20 miles from the resort. With the Patuxent River flowing nearby, the setting is perfect for a unique, grand slam golf experience. The Par-72 layout stretches for 6,762 yards from the longest of four tees, providing a unique, grand slam golf experience.

Guests can look forward to having one Experian host for each foursome. You will have the opportunity to request two other players to be in your foursome when you check in at the conference. Prizes will be awarded to the top foursome, closest to the pin and the longest drive.

What to Wear 
For gentlemen, the required attire consists of a collared golf shirt, dress slacks or Bermuda length shorts and non-metal spiked golf shoes. Jeans, cut-offs, t-shirts or denims are not permitted. 

For ladies, the preferred attire typically consists of a ladies golf shirt, dress slacks or Bermuda length shorts and non-metal spiked golf shoes. Jeans, cut-offs, t-shirts or denims are not permitted.

What to Expect
Approximately five and a half hours long, depending on speed of play and including transportation, which is
approximately 30 minutes each way.

Refreshments will be provided upon departure from the golf course. 

  

Honoring America's Heroes 




This tour pays tribute to the service and sacrifices of both men and women across the nation who dedicated their lives for the protection of our freedom. Guests will begin their tour at the World War II Memorial where they will be able to honor those who have fallen and served in the war. Following the WWII Memorial, guests will visit the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial and the Korean War Memorial before heading over to the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial. 

The afternoon will finish at Arlington National Cemetery, the final resting place of the United States of America’s greatest heroes.  There will be an opportunity to visit the gravesites of the two United States Presidents that are buried at Arlington National Cemetery, John F. Kennedy and William H. Taft. Guests will also have the opportunity to visit the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier that stands atop a hill overlooking Washington, D.C.

Kayak the Potomac River



For two hours, guests will be guided in kayaks on the Potomac River with picturesque views of Washington, D.C.  You will launch from the Key Bridge Boathouse in 2-person kayaks and guides will provide a brief demonstration and instructions before heading out. Guides will point out monuments that can be viewed from the river and share the history of Teddy Roosevelt Island.   No kayak
experience is necessary. 

What to Wear 
Comfortable clothing and shoes that can get wet are recommended. Hats and sunscreen are also recommended.

Approximately three hours long, including transportation. 
All participants must know how to swim in order to participate in this tour. 

  

Mount Vernon VIP Tour

Mount Vernon, George Washington’s former home, sits perched atop the Potomac River and is one of the most visited tourist locations in the United States.  This unique VIP tour will begin with a brief introductory film, "We Fight to be Free," featuring an overview of what life was like during George Washington's life at Mount Vernon.  

Following the film, VIP tour guides will escort guests to the historic area giving an overview of the gardens, grounds and mansion with sneak peeks of behind-the-scenes areas not available to the general public.  At the conclusion of the tour, there will be time to explore the Donald W. Reynolds Museum and Education Center which features 23 galleries and theaters, including a comprehensive collection of more than 700 objects chronicling the life of the Washington family.

Newseum VIP Tour



The Newseum’s dynamic, engaging and interactive museum allows visitors to experience the stories of yesterday and today through the eyes of the media while celebrating the freedoms guaranteed to all Americans by the First Amendment.  This private tour will take attendees through the Newseum’s galleries with in-depth and behind-the-scene information.  Exhibits include a large piece of the Berlin Wall and artifacts from 9/11. 

From the modern building located on historic Pennsylvania Avenue, to the state-of-the-art theaters, exhibits and hands-on activities located inside, a visit will quickly show why TripAdvisor users rated the Newseum as a “Traveler’s Choice Top 10 Museum in the U.S.”

Old Town Alexandria Tour



Old Town Alexandria is a quaint historic town just on the other side of the Potomac River from the resort.  Dating back to 1749, Alexandria’s riverfront was an important colonial port during the revolutionary and Civil War time periods. Alexandria was George Washington's hometown and part of the original Washington, DC. Today, Old Town Alexandria is a revitalized waterfront with cobblestone streets, colonial houses, churches, museums, shops and restaurants.

The tour will begin with a 30-minute water taxi ride from the Gaylord National Resort across the Potomac River to Alexandria. You will explore historical sites including Gadsby’s Tavern, a favorite spot of George Washington. Following the tour there will be an opportunity to explore the many shops, boutiques and galleries before returning to the resort.

Relax, Rejuvenate and Network at the Resort Spa



Experience a unique and interactive environment, where networking is encouraged and relaxation is the goal.

Each guest will have the opportunity to experience a variety of signature Relâche Spa mini-treatments including Shoulder & Neck Chair Massages and Hand Treatments including a Polish Change option — all while networking with other participants.

Guests participating in the Relax, Rejuvenate, Network activity also will receive half-day passes to enjoy the Relâche Spa facilities, including steam and sauna rooms and more for the remainder of Tuesday afternoon.

Walking Tour of our Nation's Capital


Each year, millions of people visit Washington D.C.’s National Mall and memorial parks to commemorate
presidential legacies, to honor our nation’s veterans and to celebrate our nation’s commitment to freedom and equality.  During this walking tour, you will learn about the history of Washington D.C. while being introduced to iconic landmarks like the White House, the Washington Monument, the US Treasury, the National Gallery of Art, Union Station and other highlights of our nation's capital.  You will also get the opportunity to experience the Jefferson Memorial, the Lincoln Memorial, the Reflecting Pool and the Vietnam
Veteran’s Memorial, among others.
