TIA’s 2014 Framework to Combat Fraud is an original product aimed at sharing industry best practices to reduce brokers’ risks of suffering losses through fraud and theft.

This report is based on the input of TIA’s 38-member Fraud Task Force Committee and includes data, anecdotes, recommendations, and resources to help brokers fight theft.  The book includes detailed information specific to cargo theft, financial theft, and identity theft, as well as valuable information on post-theft mitigation practices.

Available exclusively to TIA members, this Framework complements TIA Watchdog (www.tiawatchdog.com), a web-based forum for the 3PL industry to report information on problems to each other.

The TIA 2014 Framework to Combat Fraud provides an easy-to-use, one-stop resource for all 3PL industry employees to use.  Fraud and theft in the transportation industry is a major issue that costs not only brokers, but shipper and carriers as well, every day.  This framework document is an important first step in sharing hard-earned knowledge on best practices for reducing those losses.
