Continuing Education Credit Hour Submission

FOR ADMINISTRATORS

ACMPE Credit – American College of Medical Practice Executives

Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE)

The American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE) acknowledges and provides credit for participation in MedAxiom’s semi-annual meetings. The process for receiving credit is through a self-reporting method.

At our last conference, those who attended every CE-related session including the pre-conference sessions earned a maximum of 17 credit hours.

The above credit hour calculations are based on a 60-minute hour, however, it is up to MGMA to decide what ACMPE credits they will award.

Registration Procedure

Please go to the MGMA site for the most up-to-date instructions.  Below is the procedure MGMA designated for registering your credit hours earned by attending a MedAxiom or CSCA conference:

  1. 1. Using the conference agenda, calculate the hours that you spent learning in the meeting sessions.  Include breakout sessions and any “lunch and learn” sessions you may have attended.
  2. 2. Go to the MGMA  ACMPE Credit Hour Submission
  3. 3. Go to personal login (requires individual MGMA number and password
  4. 4. On the top navigation bar – click “Professional Development”
  5. 5. On the menu pull-down, click “Board Certification – CMPE”
  6. 6. On the left hand side – click “transcripts”
  7. 7. Click “I accept” – for the confidentiality agreement
  8. 8. They now have two choices – (A) click to see a PDF of your current credits, or (B) add credits
  9. 9. Click "add credits" – fill out the name of the conference & enter the number of conference hours that you attended (for MedAxiom meetings and CSCA meetings.)

After You Have Registered 

MGMA indicates that it will take them 24 hours to show the new credits on the PDF transcript summary.  They recommend that you print out the transcript for your files.

FOR PHYSICIANS

CME Credit 

The International Institute for Continuing Medical Education, Inc., designates our live activities for AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Our activities are planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the Joint Sponsorship of the International Institute for Continuing Medical Education, Inc. (IICME) and Facial Plastic Surgery International.

The International Institute for Continuing Medical Education, Inc. (IICME) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

At our last conference, physicians and qualified healthcare professionals who attended the pre-conference sessions, physician breakfast meetings, general session, breakouts, and pod sessions, were able to earn a maximum of 20 ACCME AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.

FOR ACCOUNTANTS

CPE Credit

The National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) acknowledges and provides credit for all CPA (certified professional accountants) participation in MedAxiom’s conferences.

At our last conference, qualified attendees received a maximum of 23 CPE credit hours as assigned by NASBA.  All sessions are led by qualified facilitators.
 
In accordance with the standards of the National Registry of CPE Sponsors, CPE credits have been granted based on a 50-minute hour.  Instructional delivery method was “Group-Live.”
 
MedAxiom is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.
