Workshop Descriptions

Color Confidence with Kari - A sure-fire method to create successful color combinations for beautiful and cohesive work every time. Kari's never fail method for color mixing will not only give you fantastic art, but will help you stretch your art budget as well! Another bonus to this workshop- you will learn tips to help you rescue previous color disasters!

Hot Mess to Hallelujah with Kari - Most art goes through a bit of an "awkward teenager" phase that is too busy, uncoordinated, uncooperative perspective, or oddly proportioned. Learn Kari's methods, based on those used by Rembrandt, to help you push past that phase and go on to create fantastic art! Paint outs, masking, glazing and texture used in the right combination will result in lively, multi-layered excitement! The depth and dimension will give you a polished and professional look.

Jumpstart Journals with Jodi - From backgrounds to details, contrast to contours, collage to Image transfers, we will explore a variety of easy ways to achieve the wow factor in your journal. In this part one of our class we will have an action packed fun filled frenzy of background making before we move on to part two where we will develop the pages even further.

Contour and Contrast with Jodi- Moving past the background to a more develop page doesn’t need to be daunting, in this workshop learn some quick ways to paint contour primitive faces and add writing or other embellishments to create an eye popping page.

Notes to Myself Pendant with Jen - In the Notes to Myself Pendant class you'll make a one-of-a-kind necklace for keeping cherished messages close to your heart. Learn a number of techniques for working with metal while making the front and back covers. The assorted inside pages will be decorated with your own quotes and pictures, and you'll also work with materials such as mica, copper mesh, and vintage papers. You'll love this family heirloom.
