The JW Marriott Starr Pass invites you to join them each morning at 7:30am on the Salud Terrace to participate in a traditional Native American ceremony and unique Sonoran Desert experience. During our morning ritual, the warming sunrise, the Native American Flute, burning your own sage prayer tie, and an eagle feather blessing will inspire you to see your life from a different perspective. Please visit hotel concierge for futher details.

Hiking
Arduous journeys. Some call it hiking. We prefer to call it trekking.  Its work and sometimes hard work but with many rewards. The Southwest region awaiting you offers much more than what many imagine deserts to be. The diversity of flora and fauna found in this region affirm the harmony of nature.  JW Marriott Starr Pass recommends Southwest Trekking guide services.  Please visit hotel concierge for futher details.

Mountain Biking
Hammer the hills, or enjoy a leisurely cruise. Formidable climbs or flowing flats. It's your choice. The diverse basin and range topography of the southwest region offers a wide variety of terrain options featuring fun, rocky, hilly, double track and single track biking; rides with searing climbs and perilous descents or rides through gently rolling grasslands on dirt roads. JW Marriott Starr Pass works with Southwest Trekking guide services, an outfitter guide service that has been supplying professional guide services for over 15 years in Southern Arizona.  Please visit hotel concierge for futher details.

Saguaro National Park
Tucson, Arizona is home to North America’s largest Cacti. The Giant Saguaro is the universal symbol of the American West. These majestic plants, found only in a small portion of the United States, are protected by Saguaro National Park, to the East and West of the modern City of Tucson. Here you have a chance to see these enormous cacti, silhouetted by the beauty of a magnificent desert sunset.

Sabino Canyon
In the eastern foothills of the Santa Catalina mountain range, Sabino Canyon is a world of natural beauty. Stunning vistas, the freshness of the morning air, the tranquility of running creek water, and the rugged backdrop of Thimble Peak make this place so unique.
