M2M Forum® 2014

There is no other MEMS meeting
like this.

The MEMS Industry Group’s M2M Forum is a unique, once-a-year event you shouldn’t miss.

M2M Forum, the 14th annual member meeting of the MEMS Industry Group trade association, is your focused opportunity to “lean in” and address the important, universal technical and business hurdles MIG members (and their customers) are challenged with at every step of the MEMS continuum, from the early concept and feasibility stage through to proof-of-concept, design win, successful commercialization, and volume MEMS production

With your colleagues and fellow MIG members, you will:

• Collaborate in active working groups

• Drive discussions toward reaching new, creative insights into how collaboration, IP management, and tech transfers should best work in the MEMS industry

• Produce actionable items to benefit MIG members, the MEMS industry, and the MEMS industry’s customers who are using (or looking to use) MEMS devices in commercial applications

Make it a week in California!

M2M Forum 2014 takes place in the San Francisco Bay Area at the renowned Berkeley MEMS Sensor & Actuator Center (BSAC) on the UC Berkeley campus. Of note this year, is the chance to overlap your participation in M2M 2014 with MEPTEC’s 12th Annual MEPTEC MEMS Technology Symposium, being held in San Jose, CA, on Thursday 22 May 2014, the day following M2M Forum.

Take part in our Marvell Nanofabrication Laboratory tour!

MIG has arranged an insider’s tour of the world-renowned UC Berkeley Marvell Nanofabrication Laboratory at UC Berkeley. With a focus on wireless communication, RF MEMS, physical sensors and actuators, packaging, power generation, bioMEMS and microfluidics, BSAC offers its impressive list of member companies precommercial and prepublication access to the fundamental research work being done in the center; this exclusive insider’s tour will give M2M Forum participants a flavor for BSAC’s current work and capabilities, and also for BSAC’s future direction. Join us as John Huggins (BSAC Executive Director) and the BSAC team roll out the red carpet for MEMS Industry Group members!

Why it "Takes a Village"?

The MEMS supply chains includes all the companies involved in the process of the development and innovation as well as the designing and manufacturing a MEMS device to a point where it may be integrated into end-use products. These days of tight deadlines and cost concerns, you can’t “go it alone” to make MEMS. Companies representing the entire MEMS supply chain will be in attendance at M2M Forum, to take part in neutral discussion of the pre-competitive challenges and opportunities affecting the MEMS supply chain; and what the industry can do to speed time to market and reduce costs.
