The NASA STEM Educator Professional Development Collaborative at Texas State University is providing a 1-hour webinar.

Robots are a part of our everyday lives. How are robots used in our lives? How are they used at NASA? Explore answers to these questions and more. Also, learn how to use robotics and engineering design inexpensively in your classroom by integrating NASA STEAM robotic missions, lessons and online resources.
 

Steve Culivan is a semi-retired NASA STEM Education Professional Development Specialist. During his thirty-one plus year career with NASA Education, he was assigned to the Kennedy Space Center, Marshall Space Flight Center and the Stennis Space Center. Mr. Culivan developed and provided NASA STEM online and face-to-face professional development programs for in-service, pre-service, informal and university educators. Mr. Culivan was the Principal Investigator for two International Space Station (ISS) in-flight education demonstrations. He additionally developed and co-developed several NASA STEM lessons and lesson guides. Prior to his NASA career, Mr. Culivan taught middle school Earth and space science, life science, English, art and coached several sports. He holds a current Louisiana teaching certificate in science and English. Mr. Culivan received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from Louisiana Tech University and a Masters of Science degree in Education from Oklahoma State University.
