Nykredit is one of Denmark's leading financial services providers and the largest issuer of mortgage covered bonds in Europe. The Group's bond issuance mainly concerns covered bonds.
The Group's commercial bank – Nykredit Bank – is the fourth largest Danish bank, issuing senior bonds under its EMTN and ECP programmes.
Nykredit has issued covered bonds since 1851 and had an outstanding amount of covered bonds totalling EUR 148bn at 3rd quarter 2011.
Most all covered bonds issued by Nykredit have been rated Aaa/AAA by Moody's and Standard & Poor's, respectively.
Nykredit offers mortgage finance, banking, pension and estate agency services and serves retail customers as well as commercial customers. Nykredit sells its services through more than 1,000 branches of affiliated banks, a call centre, a sales centre, more than 300 estate agents and nykredit.dk as well as several housing and estate agency portals.
Nykredit Markets is the Group's investment banking division, targeted at professional market participants. The investment bank offers a wide product range within fixed income, equity trading and asset management.
