Michelle Gardner
Venturity Financial Partners

Michelle re-joined Venturity in 2014 as our newest partner focused on operations, specifically our offshore team. Prior to coming back onboard, Michelle held leadership positions in the finance organizations of NTT DATA, Inc. and Hewlett-Packard. While at NTT DATA, Inc. she led the integration of the finance and accounting operations of acquired businesses into the NTT DATA, Inc. offshore global shared services organization. She also managed the corporate close and consolidation team and the general ledger team, and was the accounting operational leader for the SAP platform implementation. At Hewlett-Packard, she was manager of the group responsible for the accounting of the multi-billion dollar corporate restructuring plans, corporate-held acquisition costs and intangible assets, and stock compensation.

During Michelle’s first tenure with Venturity, she was a Controller where she supervised a team of finance professionals responsible for preparing financial statements, processing payables and receivables, and performing other accounting functions for a group of Venturity’s clients. She is currently focusing on working with our India-based offshore team, Pierian Services, Limited, to bring additional breadth and depth to our domestic team structure which enhances our service offering and the overall client service experience.

Also during her career, Michelle served as Regional Controller, Controller, and Senior Financial Analyst at several Dallas area companies including Affiliated Computer Systems (purchased by Xerox), NexTrend, Inc., and Electronic Data Systems (purchased by Hewlett Packard). She has experience in the IT outsourcing, retail, telecommunications, software, manufacturing, and non-profit industries. Michelle began her career with Pricewaterhousecoopers. She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Texas A&M University in 1988. She lives in Dallas with her husband, Ed. They have 5 adult children.

Deanna Walker
Venturity Financial Partners

Deanna joined Venturity in October 2003 and currently serves as Partner and Vice President of Business Development. Deanna is responsible for all aspects of business development and marketing, as well as overseeing client relations for the firm. She also heads up our customer service training initiative as she is passionate about providing exceptional service to those that we work with.

Prior to joining Venturity, Deanna was involved in various capacities in her family’s business. In addition, Deanna brings more than 10 years of investment and corporate banking experience to Venturity, beginning her career with the Dallas investment-banking group of Salomon Brothers. She later held various positions with GE Capital Corporation and Banque Paribas where she was responsible for the marketing, origination, underwriting, and execution of debt and equity products for leveraged transactions in the southwest private equity markets. Throughout her professional career, Deanna has continued to strengthen her business development and client relations skills by cultivating and maintaining a solid network of professional service providers focused on serving small to medium-sized companies.

Deanna earned a Bachelor
of Business Administration in Finance from Texas A&M University in 1989 and she received a Masters of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University in 1996. Deanna has been involved in and held board positions with several professional and community organizations, including the Association for Corporate Growth, National Association of Women Business Owners, Women’s Finance Exchange, Dallas Finance Forum, SMU Business Associates Program, Genesis Women’s Shelter, and National Charity League. In her free time, Deanna enjoys yoga, snow skiing, hanging out with her yellow lab, Buster, and spending time with her family in the Texas Hill Country. She lives in Dallas with her husband, Scott, and their three children.
