Guy Fisher

Guy has been providing investment advice to institutional and retail clients in New Zealand and overseas for more than 25 years. He joined Russell Investments as a Senior Consultant in 2018, focusing on the non-profit and philanthropic sectors. Prior to that he spent 8 years at ANZ Private Bank (4 years as Head of Investments) and 4 years as an investment consultant with Aon Hewitt in Wellington.

Before moving to New Zealand in 2002, Guy held investment advisory roles in Edinburgh and London.

 
Greg McMaster
Head of clients
AMP Capital

Greg McMaster joined AMP Capital in June 2012 and is part of the NZ Clients team based in Wellington. He was recently appointed to a new role as Head of Clients, and is responsible for managing relationships with clients, promoting and distributing AMP Capital’s funds in the New Zealand market, and leading the relationship managers and Client Services team. Greg is a member of the AMP Capital NZ Management team. He is a strong client advocate and particularly enjoys working with clients to help them develop solutions to achieve their specific goals and objectives. 

Greg has 16 years’ financial services experience working for many well-known organisations in New Zealand and the UK, performing multiple roles. He has worked at local investment houses such as First NZ Capital/Credit Suisse First Boston, Forsyth Barr and FNZ. From 2006 to 2011 he worked in London for Cazenove Capital and Thornhill Investment Management.

 
Graeme Nahkies
Director
BoardWorks International

Graeme Nahkies is a Director and was co-founder of BoardWorks International. Since that time Graeme and his colleagues have worked exclusively in the field of governance level performance assisting governing boards of both commercial and non-commercial organisations to fulfil their fiduciary responsibilities and to achieve their leadership potential. Graeme’s primary location is in Wellington, but he also has a home and office in Turangi.

Graeme has postgraduate qualifications from Canterbury (MA with First Class Hons. in Geography), Auckland (Diploma in Town Planning) and Victoria Universities (Master of Public Policy). He has also completed a wide range of executive and other professional development programmes in New Zealand, the UK and the US. During the early part of his career Graeme gathered extensive experience in roles as diverse as a policy analyst, professional adviser, project manager and Ministerial Private Secretary.

Prior to establishing BoardWorks International Graeme undertook a number of senior executive roles. He was Deputy Chief Executive of the then Housing Corporation of New Zealand, Chief Executive of the Waikato Regional Council, and Chief Executive of Hutt Valley Health Corporation Ltd, a Crown Health Enterprise (now a DHB). Graeme has also undertaken acting chief executive roles for client organisations in both the local government and Crown entity sectors.

 
John Page
BoardWorks International

John joined BoardWorks International after 14 years at Sport NZ leading its highly regarded governance programme. That work stands as the benchmark in non-profit governance in New Zealand. Its resources, notably the Nine Steps to Effective Governance, are in use across New Zealand and around the world. The now widely embraced Governance Mark accreditation system also developed under John’s leadership, is a world first. John also led the organisation’s gender diversity work resulting in women’s representation on sport and recreation sector boards moving from 27% to 37% over six years. At Sport NZ John has been particularly involved in governance evaluations, interview panels, strategic planning and seminar delivery. During that time, he worked alongside many of New Zealand’s leading governance consultants. Immediately prior to Joining BoardWorks John also undertook a major piece of research into not-for-profit organisations’ accountability for the use of time and money. His report “True to Label” examines the practices of 55 New Zealand non-profit organisations. 

Prior to crossing to the sport world John had a long career in the arts, as a manager, consultant and freelance producer. He worked across most performing arts disciplines including time in theatre, orchestras and festivals and was for six years General Manager of the Royal New Zealand Ballet. Prior to joining Sport NZ John was a partner in an artist management and production company.

John’s formal training is in teaching and business, specifically marketing.

 
Rebekah Swan
ESG Investment Specialist, NZ / Client Advocate / Head of Product
AMP Capital

Rebekah is the ESG Investment Specialist for New Zealand and also the Head of Product. As our ESG Investment Specialist she is actively involved with the ESG team at AMP Capital, the industry within New Zealand and is passionate for all things in responsible investment and corporate governance. As a strong client advocate, she also manages the relationships with a number of AMP Capital's long-standing clients. In Rebekah’s Head of Product role she has the responsibility for bringing new and innovative product solutions to the New Zealand market.

Previously at AMP Capital Rebekah held the Head of Distribution role and has over 18 years’ experience with AMP Capital and over 22 years’ proven expertise in investment markets, regulatory risk compliance and financial services. This comes from a diverse background and extensive leadership experience, including several years working overseas in the UK and Canada. 

She is a member of the AMP Capital New Zealand Strategy team, and Management Team and the Australia and New Zealand Client Leadership Team, a member of the Responsible Investment Committee, the Financial Markets Conduct Committee and is a Director of AMP Investment Management. She is also a member of the New Zealand Governance and the Sustainable Finance Forum Technical Working Group. Rebekah also holds a number of not for profit board roles outside of AMP Capital and is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Directors.
