AELP London Workshop
Year-end Qualification Achievement Rates and the ILR

Thursday, 18 July 2019  |  The Wesley Hotel, London

Please note this workshop is now sold out

Overview

Your Qualification Achievement Rate is a key metric, but are you sure you’re doing it right? The technical specification can be bewildering at times; can you honestly say you know how Hybrid End Year is calculated and what the implications are if you get it wrong?

Mainly aimed at new providers who have their first substantial cohorts achieving this year, this workshop will use the in-year QAR reports due to be released by ESFA in late June to help you understand this vital calculation. We will be focusing on Apprenticeship provision, although Education & Training provision follows most of the same rules.

We’ll also look at best practice for year-end in general, making sure you use all of the tools at your disposal, including PDSATs and FRM reports, to return the most accurate data you can.

Finally, we’ll cover the (minimal) ILR changes for 19/20 to prepare you for the year ahead.

Led by ILR and funding expert Steve Hewitt from FE Associates, this will be a technical session with plenty of examples and time for questions.

Objectives

  • Understand your in-year QAR report produced by ESFA
  • Prepare effectively for year end
  • Ensure you can use the tools available to make your data as accurate as possible
  • Understand changes to data collection for the year ahead
