We invite you to attend the Healthy State Alliance: Addressing Ohio's Opioid Epidemic one-day conference on July 31, 2019 to address Ohio's unprecedented rate of opioid use disorder and overdoses.

The Healthy State Alliance, a partnership between The Ohio State University and Mercy Health, will host State officials and expert speakers in psychiatry, addiction, hospital and emergency medicine to provide updates and training on efforts to reduce, manage and treat opioid use in Ohio.
 
Conference Objectives
 
1) Define the dimensions needed for determining ASAM levels of care.
2) Identify the major ASAM levels of care and how the level is determined.
3) Identify evidence-based interventions for opioid-use disorder.
4) Describe implementation of MAT in a variety of settings, including the emergency department, inpatient hospital, and outpatient settings.
5) Explain the efforts being implemented at the state level in Ohio related to opioid epidemic.
Intended Audience
The event is intended for physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners in: primary care (internal medicine, family medicine, pediatrics); emergency departments, hospitalists, pain medicine, addiction medicine, neurology, anesthesiology-pain management and psychiatry.

Registration fee includes: admission to all sessions, educational materials, continuing education credit, continental breakfast, lunch, and breaks.

Cancellations will be accepted in writing only and refunds given minus a 20% administrative processing fee until July 22, 2019. Cancellations received after July 22, 2019 will NOT be reimbursed. Substitutions will be permitted with prior approval. For attendees using an agency purchase order, the purchase order is a binding agreement to pay and no-shows will be billed.
