OTH Mission The 2019 On the Hill Summit is the 7th Biennial Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated National Legislative Summit. As our youth strive to become global citizens, we must involve them in the political process, including elections, legislative advocacy, and other important civic duties. The objective of the four-day summit is to provide meaningful experiences so that our youth gain valuable knowledge, understanding, skills, and commitment necessary for citizenship and leadership. This summit will be an empowering experience for young advocates to meet and discuss issues/concerns affecting their peers and communities with their respective congressional leaders on Capitol Hill. They will address the following issues: equity in education, gun violence safety and prevention, and voter registration and turnout. The advocacy education consists of impactful legislative advocacy workshops and sessions on how to take what they have learned and use it in their local communities. This OTH Summit is not to be missed! We will take Legislative Advocacy to the Next Level! We have dynamic speakers, a Historical Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) experience, workshops, contests, dinners, parties, networking opportunities, and a host of other empowering and exciting activities planned.
