When registering by fax or mail, please indicate a first, second and third choice for each session. We will make every effort to place you in your first choice. For ease and convenience, we recommend online registration, where second and third choices are not required. A confirmation letter will be e-mailed to you immediately after your registration is processed.

Please note that there is a $10 fee each time you make class changes following your initial registration.

Teachers, classes, events, dates, and times are subject to change without notice.

Payment in full must accompany registration.

How much will it cost to attend?

Can I register on-site at Vogue Knitting LIVE?

Yes, on-site registrations will be accepted. Some sessions may sell out in advance, so please register as early as possible to secure your spot.

Do I have to choose my classes when I register?

Yes. This not only speeds up the registration process but also helps ensure that you get into the classes you want, should any sell out. To save time, we recommend you choose your classes before registering.

What is a “materials fee”?

For some classes, a materials fee is listed. This fee covers the cost of materials provided by the teacher in the classroom. This fee is in addition to the ticket cost and should be paid directly to the teacher in the classroom. Please bring exact change if possible.

What is “homework”?

For some classes, homework is listed. Homework is work that teachers require be completed before your class meets. For homework, please visit the Classes page, select a class, and scroll down. Any homework needed for that particular class will be listed. What is “supplies”?

For some classes, supplies are listed. Supplies are tools that teachers request you bring to class. For required supplies, please visit the Classes page, select a class, and scroll down. Any supplies needed for that particular class will be listed. If you prefer to buy supplies at the Vogue Knitting LIVE Marketplace, please allow for enough time to purchase them before your class starts. Also note that we cannot guarantee that the Marketplace will have the specific supplies you are looking for, so please plan in advance.

Should I bring anything in addition to the supplies listed for a class?

In addition to the class supply list, if you have favorite tools, bring them. Scissors, stitch markers, stitch holders, tape measure, hooks and needles in different sizes, support gloves, and note-taking materials can be easily tucked in a bag.

Can you explain the class skill levels?

The following is a general guideline. Please refer to the specific class for additional prerequisite information.

All Skill Levels: Everyone is welcome to participate!

Beginner: Unless otherwise noted on the class description, must be able to cast on/bind off, work simple increases/decreases and yarn overs, follow written instructions, and know garter, stockinette, and basic ribbing stitches.

Intermediate: Unless otherwise noted on the class description, must possess beginner skills plus be able to work in the round using circular needles and double-pointed needles, work with 2+ colors, pick up stitches for necklines and sleeves, correct knitting errors, be proficient in intarsia, cables, yarn-over patterns, simple seaming, and finishing techniques.

Advanced: Unless otherwise noted on the class description, must possess intermediate skills plus be able to draft and make pattern adjustments, make style changes, knit in a hem, work Fair Isle and stranded knitting, work pocket and border trims including sewing in a zipper, and work complex patterns.

Are meals included in the price of the show?

The Cocktail Reception on Friday from 7:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m. and the Gala Dinner on Saturday from 7:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m. are the only meals that are a part of Vogue Knitting LIVE. Tickets are included in the Magnificent Miler and Windy City Weekender Packages. No additional meals will be provided at Vogue Knitting LIVE. Please check out the Visit & Dine page for information on restaurants in and nearby the Palmer House Hilton Hotel.

What registration options do I have and what does each include?

Attendees can choose from several registration options, including individual classes, individual lectures and packages. Please refer to the Registration page for details.

Can I get a receipt/invoice for my registration?

If you register online, you will be presented with a printable receipt at the end of the registration process. If you register via postal mail or fax and would like a receipt, please contact 866-700-2262 (International +1-917-258-5100) or vogueknitting@etouches.com.

Can I make my hotel reservation when I register?

No, all lodging must be booked directly with the Palmer House Hilton Hotel or another hotel of your choice. You can make your reservations via Internet or phone. You’ll find complete information on the Visit & Dine page. Please be sure to make your reservations early, as our room blocks are expected to fill quickly.

When is the early-bird registration deadline?

The early-bird registration deadline is August 14, 2012.

How do I use a discount code I’ve received to save on registration?

To use your discount code, please input the code when prompted. The site will automatically calculate your registration fees and subtract the code’s value. Please note that only one discount code can be used per customer. If you are sending in your registration by mail or fax, please also include the code.

What do I do if I want to change a class?

You will be charged $10 on each occasion you make a change to your final paid schedule (make all changes at once to avoid additional $10 fees). Contact Vogue Knitting LIVE at 866-700-2262 (International +1-917-258-5100) or vogueknitting@etouches.com to request changes.

How do I add something to my existing registration?

Contact Vogue Knitting LIVE at 866-700-2262 (International +1-917-258-5100) or vogueknitting@etouches.com. There is no fee for additions to your registration.

When do I receive my show badge?

Show badges will be mailed to you a few weeks before Vogue Knitting LIVE. If you have not received your badge in the mail or have lost your badge, you will be able to collect it at check-in. The show badge will be your only admission to events. Please note that International badges will not be sent via mail, but instead can be collected at check-in.

What is the check-in procedure at Vogue Knitting LIVE?

If you have already received your badge in the mail, you are not required to check in. But please make sure to pick up a Show Book at the Registration Desk, so you can read about all Vogue Knitting LIVE has to offer over the weekend.

If you did not receive your badge in the mail, you must check in at the Registration Desk with either a photo ID or a copy of your printable receipt. Your badge will be presented upon check-in and will be your only means of admission to events. You MUST present your badge at the door to be admitted to any event.

What happens if I lose my badge?

Be sure to check in with the Registration Desk as soon as you realize you’ve lost your badge. There is a $10 replacement fee for lost badges.

What is your cancellation policy?

All cancellations must be received in writing via fax, post, or e-mail. Cancellations received on or before August 31, 2012, will be issued a refund, minus a $100 processing fee.** After August 31, 2012, no refunds will be issued for cancellations or no-shows. If you cannot attend, you may send a substitute in your place at no extra charge. Substitution requests must be received before September 21, 2012. For on-site substitutions please bring the badge of the individual you are filling in for and we will create a new name badge for you, or contact Vogue Knitting LIVE at 866-700-2262 (International +1-917-258-5100) or vogueknitting@etouches.com.

**Cancellations received on or before August 31, 2012, for tickets costing LESS than $100 will be issued a refund minus HALF the cost of the total ticket.

In the unlikely event that Vogue Knitting LIVE cancels a class, we will make every effort to find you a suitable class substitution. If you are not satisfied with the substitute, you may choose another class, and the $10 class change fee will be waived. If you are unsatisfied with either option, we will gladly refund the cost of the class. If you purchased the canceled class within a package, you will be refunded the prorated class rate.

Is it safe for me to register using my credit card on the Vogue Knitting LIVE site?

Absolutely. This website uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to encrypt your personal information when you place your order. This means your order cannot be read as it travels over the Internet, so your name, address, and credit card information are secure.

What if I’m having problems with the online registration process?

If your problems are technical in nature (your browser is reporting errors or pages are failing to load correctly), please first try quitting and relaunching your browser and/or restarting your computer. Also, be sure you are not blocking cookies in your browser’s preferences (cookies are required for the registration form to work). Are children allowed at Vogue Knitting LIVE?

Children 12 and under are permitted in the Marketplace at no extra cost.

Do students receive a student discount?

Yes students save $5 off Marketplace tickets and $15 off classes. However, you cannot register online to receive this discount. If you are registering on-site, simply provide your student ID at the Registration Desk. If you are registering over the phone or via mail, Vogue Knitting LIVE will ask you to send a copy of your student ID.

Will I be photographed or video taped?

Yes, you might be photographed or video taped. By attending Vogue Knitting LIVE from October 26–28, 2012, you agree to the following: As a participant, I understand that my image may be used in association with additional editorial and promotional materials. In consideration of my appearance, and without my further consideration, I hereby grant permission to utilize my image in connection with said promotional and editorial materials in any and all manner and media through the world in perpetuity. I agree that my participation in the event may be edited at the discretion of Vogue Knitting. I expressly release Vogue Knitting, SoHo Publishing, its agents, employees, and licensees from and against any claims that I have or may have for invasion of privacy, defamation or any other cause of action arising out of production, distribution, broadcast or exhibition of this event. I agree that all resulting intellectual property is the sole property of Vogue Knitting.
