The collapse of an athlete during competition presents a puzzle requiring a review of systems, a differential diagnosis, a review of regional head and neck anatomy, laboratory tests and pharmacology.  Once pieced together, acute vertigo is often the culprit.

Learning objectives:

  • Learn to describe the possible reasons for acute vertigo
  • Understand the interplay and importance of the middle ear and eustachian tubes in equillibrium and balance
  • Learn about the neuroanatomy involved in dizziness
  • Identify the drugs used in the treatment of acute labyrinthitis

* Registration closes at 5:00 pm CT on the day of the event
