INS National Academy - One Day Program

Interested in speaking at a national conference? 

The Infusion Nurses Society (INS) is recognized as the global authority in infusion therapy and is dedicated to exceeding the public’s expectations of excellence by setting the standard for infusion care. INS is also dedicated to providing professional development opportunities, quality education, and advancing best practice through evidence-based practice and research. We are seeking speakers for our one-day program, November 1, 2019, which focuses on oncology related topics.

Abstract submissions are now closed

Abstracts on the following topics of interest related to patients receiving infusion therapy may be submitted:
       • Antineoplastic and biologic therapies                
       • Oncologic emergencies and clinical management of adverse events
       • Emerging oncologic or related therapies           • Vesicant administration
       • Autoimmune disorders                                         • Complimentary, alternative and integrative therapies
       • Chemotherapy exposure management             • Immunodeficiency disorders
                    o Personal protective equipment           • Biosimilar therapies
                    o Closed-system administration
                    o Waste disposal
                    o Safe handling of hazardous drugs

For individuals employed by infusion-related industry/businesses (excluding consultants): topics and abstracts must be unrelated to employer products or other saleable merchandise. If you have a topic related to an employer’s product please contact Meghan Trupiano, Meetings Manager, at meghan.trupiano@ins1.org for more information on presenting a symposia or exhibitor theater at National Academy.
 
GUIDELINES:
     • Deadline for submitting abstracts is March 22, 2019
     • To submit your abstract, please be prepared to enter the following information, then click the button below:
                    o Name and credentials 
                    o Current employer and job title 
                    o Paid consultant roles (title and company)
                    o Contact information: email, address, phone number
                    o Title and abstract (word count)
   
Important Dates and Information:
• Abstract submission due March 22, 2019
• Conference presentation date: November 1, 2019
• Once submitted, applications will undergo review by the INS Education Department.
• Selected speakers will be notified by email beginning April 8, 2019. Instructions for completing a speaker agreement will be attached.
• Your place on the conference schedule will not be considered final until your speaker agreement is completed. If it is not completed by April 30, 2019, your abstract and application will be ineligible.
