About the Advanced Microelectronics Design & Prototype Showcase Event - Phase I

 

Protecting national security through investments in assured and trusted microelectronics solutions.
This event is the showcase event for Phase 1 of the Advanced Microelectronics Design & Prototype Challenge. Selected teams from the challenge will be invited to participate in this showcase and show their submissions in hope of being selected to participate in Phase 2.

 

If selected to enter Phase 2, selected teams will have access to a platform that includes a commercial cloud-based development environment, design and verification tools, IP libraries, design expertise support, and fabrication. Access to the EDA tools and IP libraries is valued at $10M per license. The USAF is offering it FREE to selected participants.
 

Evaluation criteria

Each of the teams showcasing at this event will be presenting their ideas to design a 14Nm chip that can improve the operations of an autonomous system.

Attendees

Attending this event will be representatives from each of the teams, USAF and other government agencies, investors, and general attendees. It is hoped that this event will support the development of the microelectronics community in the US.  
 

Meals

 
Breakfast, lunch, and snacks will be provided at Enclave. If you are a government employee attending, you will be charged $25 for the day.

Registration

Q: How do I register for the event?
A: Click on the "New Registration" button under the register tab, or on the home banner.  Registration closes February 15, 2019.

Q: Is there a registration fee to sign-up?
A: No, this event is free of charge for all attendees.


Q: Can I register onsite?

A: Yes, if you miss the online registration cutoff, Feb 15, onsite registration will be available at the AFWERX Vegas Innovation Hub on Feb 19, from 4:00 - 7:00 PM, and again on Feb 20 at Enclave beginning at 8:00 AM (exhibitors must register on February 19 at AFWERX Vegas).  If you are an exhibitor, someone from your team must register prior to Feb 15 so we know your team will be in attendance.

Q: How do I register my exhibitor booth staff?

A: A unique expo password was sent to your team when your challenge submission was accepted. You must use this password to register as an exhibitor.

Q: Is there parking at the Enclave?
A: Yes, there is plenty of free parking on-site.

Q: Is there wifi in the venue?
A: Yes, the network is: Enclave Public, and the password is: Enc!ave4U$


Meals

Q: Are meals provided at the event?
A: Meals are provided for exhibitors and non-government attendees.  Due to government regulations, food will be available for purchase for government attendees (breakfast, lunch, beverages and light snacks).

Q: Do you have a menu of the food that will be served?
A: Yes, the menu will be posted as soon as it's available.


Attire

Q: What is the recommended dress?
A: Casual or business casual for civilians and UOD for military. 


Q: Is the social mandatory to attend?
A: Although it is not mandatory to attend the hosted social, we highly encourage participation.  This is a great way to network with other exhibitors and possible future stakeholders in a casual environment.


Expo Participants

Q: What stakeholders will be in attendance?
A: We will be inviting members from each branch of service that may provide feedback to your project, along with the project management office and AFWERX team.  If there's someone (or an organization) you'd like for us to invite, there is a question on your registration form to provide that information.

Q: Am I allowed to take photos and video?
A: Yes, photography and videography are allowed.
