With purpose. For progress. serves as this year’s theme for KSS and acts as a call and response. With purpose. allows us to reflect on why we are here and why we do the work that we do. For progress. is about making good on KIPP's promises to students and our collective belief in social justice and equity. To read more about this year's theme, you can download a full theme brief here.

Engaging & Relevant Sessions

KSS 2019 will feature more than 300 sessions designed to sharpen your skills, spark your curiosity, and prompt self-reflection. With sessions led by field experts and KIPPsters that have been in your shoes, you’ll learn new ideas and leave with tools to help every KIPPster achieve a choice-filled life.

On Monday, new-to-KIPP staff can learn practical skills for thriving at KIPP while getting acquainted with KIPP strategies, tools, and programs. KSS 2019 will also feature our first year of alumni-only programming focused on career advancement, professional development, and other topics of interest specifically for KIPP alumni.

On Tuesday, attend sessions that increase your self-awareness and your critical consciousness while providing strategies and tools for creating equitable and culturally responsive classrooms, schools, and communities.

On Wednesday, strengthen lifelines with people from across the country who do the same work as you. With sessions for 30+ communities, be prepared to leave sessions armed with knowledge, best practices, and resources to be more effective in your role.

Become a KSS Sponsor

and help us celebrate 25 years!

#sponsor-section sponsor-section row-mid col-sm-5 colour-section
#sponsor-section sponsor-section row-end col-sm-7 colour-section

2019 marks a major milestone in KIPP’s history — achieving 25 years of growth and impact in dozens of underserved communities nationwide. Key to our success is supporting and recognizing the people who make KIPP possible. Since 2002, one of the ways we have done this at KIPP is by bringing our Team & Family together to learn and grow at KIPP School Summit (KSS).

This year, we hope you will join us as a KSS sponsor, as we welcome 6,000 members of the KIPP team to Houston — the place where it all began! You can be part of furthering our success through your support of this incredible gathering. With a program crafted by KIPP alumni, staff, and advisors, KSS is an opportunity unlike any other to reconnect to our mission, celebrate accomplishments, and improve practice to support students.

Over the years, countless supporters and partners have helped make KSS possible, and we hope you will help us celebrate 25 years of proving the possible in education by becoming a KSS 2019 sponsor.
