Implementing Exertional Heat Stroke Policies: From Research to Reality

- Attendees will be able to identify the difference between the wet bulb globe temperature versus heat index and which would be more appropriate for athletics.
- Attendees will become familiar with the litigious questions they may face when being prosecuted for an exertional heat stroke death.
- Attendees will be provided a foundation to develop a wet bulb globe temperature monitoring plan, including cold water immersion, within their school setting.
