FTAdviser Breakfast Briefing - Peer-To-Peer 2019

How P2P can help with the search for income

Peer-to-peer (P2P) lending has developed rapidly over the past 10 years. From the P2P investment trusts backed by a range of high-profile fund managers, to government initiatives such the Innovative Finance Isa, the sector has received hefty backing from several quarters.
Many advisers have been using P2P, especially asset-backed P2P, as an additional source of income for their clients. In many cases, this has helped outstrip the yields on government bonds and cash, helping to provide a crucial new stream for clients.
But how does P2P fit in with risk-rating practices, and how can advisers accurately assess the trade-off between yield and risk?
FTAdviser’s breakfast briefing will examine what’s next for the industry, and ask why advisers have been building P2P into their client's income portion of portfolios.

This event is free to attend and is for financial intermediaries only. A certificate of attendance will be provided for CPD purposes.
