Poster Display Instructions

The Saad Khalil Memorial Junior Fellow Quality Improvement Challenge is open to all ACOG District II Junior Fellows.

Junior Fellows should submit their QI project to ACOG District II at info@ny.acog.org using the above form.

Check-in at the ACOG Registration Desk begins at 7:30 am on Saturday, October 19, in the Ballroom Level foyer, Grand Hyatt New York (Grand Central Station). Poster set up will take place between 7:30 am and 9:00 am in the poster presentation area. All posters must be in place by 9:00 am. Breakdown of posters cannot take place before 11:30 am.

The Poster Challenge Q & A session will take place on the Ballroom Level, 9:30 am – 10:30 am. Please be prepared to stand by your poster during the Challenge and answer questions from Fellows and other women's health care professionals.

Items for Quality Improvement Poster Display:

  • You will be given a poster board 48"w x 36"h to support your research poster
  • BRING mounting materials such as thumbtacks or push pins to attach your poster to the poster board

You will be given your poster display board and a "poster number" when you register onsite. Attach the number to the upper right-hand corner of your poster board. The Junior Fellow Task Force on Awards will judge the poster by referencing this number.

Label the top of your poster with the project title and authors. It is suggested that the font for this section should not be less than 1" high. A copy of your submission form, typed in a large font, should be attached to the upper left-hand corner of the poster board.

Tips

  • When creating your poster, bear in mind that it may be read by interested parties from distances of 3 feet or more.
  • Keep illustrative materials simple. Charts, drawings, and graphics should be similar to those you would use in making slides.
  • Simple use of color can add emphasis effectively.
  • All lettering should be in a large font, at least 3/8" high.
  • Bring your own mounting items - such as thumbtacks or push pins - to attach your poster to your poster board.

Prize

Junior Fellow quality improvement posters will be judged by the Junior Fellow Task Force on Awards with the winner receiving a $500 cash prize generously donated by Susan Khalil, MD, FACOG.

Good luck!
