Junior Fellow/Medical Student Program

There is no fee for Junior Fellows or medical students to attend any of the Saturday Program events. Although there is no charge to attend, registration is required to attend Saturday afternoon events - below.

Training in FLS Skills Performance: CREST being held on Sunday, October 20th, requires a $50 registration fee.

As part of the Iffath Abbasi Hoskins, MD Junior Fellow Research Day Program, the Martin L. Stone, MD Junior Fellow Research Poster Session and the Saad Khalil Memorial Junior Fellow Quality Improvement Poster Session offers District Junior Fellows the opportunity to showcase their research and QI projects to meeting attendees in the form of poster presentations. Posters will be displayed and judged by the Junior Fellow Task Force on Awards, with the winners receiving cash prizes.

The Iffath Abbasi Hoskins, MD Junior Fellow Research Day Oral Presentations are a highlight of the Annual Meeting. Authors of the top two scoring abstracts have been invited to give presentations of their research to meeting attendees. The winner, as determined by the Junior Fellow Task Force on Awards, will receive a travel stipend to the 2020 Annual Clinical and Scientific Meeting in Seattle, WA.

The District’s sole Junior Fellow finalist in ACOG’s Donald F. Richardson Research Paper Award will also present to meeting attendees. The finalist's research will then be submitted in this national contest where the 2 top scoring authors will be selected from the 12 District submissions and receive travel stipends to present their research to meeting attendees at the 2020 Annual Clinical and Scientific Meeting in Seattle, Washington.

Scientific Session - ACOG President Elect Eva Chalas, MD, FACOG, FACS invites all Junior Fellows and medical students into the Annual Meeting's scientific session to listen to this important panel discussion on today's approach to women's health care. Come and hear from renowned ACOG leadership as they discuss the essential role ob-gyns play in the overall well-being of women.

The Mix, Mingle and Mock Roundtables, back by popular demand, is specifically designed for interactive discussions between renowned Fellow generalists/sub-specialists and YOU! Fellows will offer mentoring on topics such as the sub-specialties (MFM, GYN Onc, REI, MIGs, Family Planning), physician advocacy, applying to residency, today's practice models, and life after residency. Have questions about general requirements, rules for applying to a subspecialty-training program, or the interview process? Be sure to bring these and all your questions to this session and get answers from the experts.
