     Transportation
 
Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) is the primary airport to serve the D.C. Metro area. It is located 7 miles from the Four Seasons Hotel. 

Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) is the main international airport to serve the D.C. Metro area. Dulles is located 26 miles from the Four Seasons Hotel. Various forms of ground transportation are available to visitors.

Car Service


Limousine and rental car transportation can be arranged by the Four Seasons Hotel for an additional charge. Valet parking is also available at the Four Seasons Hotel for an applicable fee. Please call 202.342.0444 for additional information.
 
Metro

Washington’s Metro service is a convenient and quick way to get around. The closest metro station to the Four Seasons, Foggy Bottom on the blue and orange lines, is a 15 minute walk from the Four Seasons Hotel. Visit WMATA for more information.

     International Visitors

Currency & Accepted Forms of Payment

The currency of the United States is the US Dollar often shown as USD or $.

Most major banks will exchange foreign currency. In addition, currency exchange is available at Washington-Dulles International Airport before and after leaving the international terminal.

Credit or charge cards are widely accepted throughout Washington, D.C.. The most common are Visa, MasterCard and American Express, while Discover, Diners Club and Carte Blanche are also generally accepted. Some vendors may accept international cards like enRoute, EuroCard and JCB.
 
Cash machines, or ATMs, are found within walking distance of the hotel. Fees may be assesed
 
Traveler’s Checks are accepted at most major banks with proof of ID (passport). Fees may be assessed.
 
Tipping

Tipping is voluntary; gratuities are not automatically added to the bill except in some cases for large groups. Tipping guidelines: servers – 15%, for outstanding service – 20%; taxi drivers – 15%; doormen, skycaps and porters - $1 per bag.
 
Electricity

The United States uses 110 to 120 volts AC (60 cycles). If visiting from outside of North America, you may require an electrical adapter for any electronics or appliances you want to bring. Las Vegas electrical outlets accept the standard North American plug with two flat parallel pins.
 
Time

During the Annual Meeting, Washington, D.C. will be in Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) and is 5 hours behind GMT.
 
Visas
 
The visa application process can take six months or more, so we encourage attendees from countries other than the United States to apply for their visas as early as possible, but no later than three months before they wish to enter the United States. Please note that a visa does not guarantee entry into the United States! Individuals may request a letter of invitation by email at vheller@americansecuritization.com. The following must be incuded in your request:
  • Full name as it appears on your passport
  • Gender
  • Date of birth
  • Complete mailing address
  • Passport number and country of issue
  • Phone Number
  • Fax Number

Requests may take up to 5 business days to process. Management is not able to contact US Embassies in support of an individual attempting to gain entry into the host country to attend the Annual Meeting. For detailed information about applying for a visa, refer to the Department of State Website.
