Do you wish you had more hours in the day to get your work done? Do you wish you could hand off work and know it would actually get done in the way that you want? Do you often say, “It will be quicker and easier if I just do it myself.”?

This session will help you let go, while helping others develop valuable skills.

You’ll learn:

·         How effectively you are focusing on the right work – where you can have the biggest impact

·         How you are holding on to work that others would get valuable experience from

·         The five key steps to delegating to keep the monkey off your back (i.e., keep your team from punting the work back to you) and ensuring that your team gives you the end result you expect

Neena Newberry
Newberry Executive Solutions

A twelve-time award-winning speaker, author, and executive coach, Neena Newberry launched Newberry Executive Solutions in 2008 to focus on her passion for developing strong leaders, especially women. She left a more than 16-year management consulting and human resources career, and a role on Deloitte’s U.S. HR Executive Team supporting 34,000 employees – not knowing the economy would tank just three months later, teaching her invaluable leadership lessons.

Grounded in years of experience developing business strategies, improving business operations and leading teams, Neena develops leaders through Purpose, Presence & Power. She is known for her practical, high-impact approach and her ability to help her clients get results they couldn’t before. The result: rave reviews about her company’s products and services from Fortune 500 clients such as AT&T, PepsiCo, Shell, and Sysco, and organizations like the United Way and the George W. Bush Presidential Center. Not to mention Neena’s book Show Up. Step Up. Step Out. — written up by Southwest Airlines President Emeritus Colleen Barrett — and a Leadership Excellence award-winning program called WOW! Women On the Way to Peak Performance ProgramSM.

Neena has been honored by the Dallas Business Journal twice, in 2018 as a Minority Business Leader Honoree and in 2016 as a Women in Business Honoree. In 2014 she won four Stevie Awards for Women in Business: Female Entrepreneur of the Year for products and services, Mentor or Coach of the Year, and Women Helping Women. Neena’s expertise is regularly sought out, with over 50 media appearances on CBS, ABC, Fox News, and Fortune Magazine, among others.

Newberry’s credentials include more than 25 years of advising and coaching business leaders, an MBA, a Professional in Human Resources Certification, and a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential from the International Coach Federation.

Through volunteer work with Collaborative for Children in Houston and the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas (UWMD), Newberry has been a long-term champion of education reform. Her volunteer work has been recognized by United Way with the Advocate of the Year Award. She also works with the George W. Bush Presidential Center on programs to empower women to catalyze change in the Middle East.

Neena’s other endeavors include an adjunct professorship in executive education at the SMU Cox School of Business, global and local leadership roles with the International Coach Federation; past chair of the UMWD Advocacy Committee; and author of leadership articles for her alma mater, the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin.

Neena has designed a life that allows her to spend quality time with her family while pursuing her passion. She broke in her first glove learning to play baseball with her son, who keeps her grounded and energized. Neena’s sense of adventure takes her outdoors, most recently on safari in Kenya and hiking rim to rim in the Grand Canyon.
