Dear Kresge Partners and
Colleagues,
We are so looking forward to seeing everyone in Atlanta next week! Our theme, “Connecting Heads, Hearts and Hands”, will become more evident in the three days of programming we have prepared for our time together.
As a reminder, the objectives of the convening are to:
- Strengthen the skills of participants to help advance work at the intersection of climate change, water and equity (the Head)
- Provide time and space for fostering connections and information exchange among partners (the Heart)
- Engage in service projects to support the Atlanta community (the Hands)
1. The Agenda Tab provides an updated flow of learning events and activities. Everyone will receive a printed, detailed agenda upon arrival.
2. The Participants & Presenters Tab provides a short bio and picture of all our attendees. As you will see, there is a wonderful group of folks coming together from various background, experiences and sectors.
3. The Pre-Work & Resources Tab you should already be familiar with if you did your homework! If for some reason you have not completed your homework, make sure you at least complete the “Personal Profile” form, because those will be displayed throughout the convening. There are also some materials you might want to scan before our meeting, as well as a list of resources you might be interested to use in your work.
4. Transportation: Airport transfers will be provided by MTI Limo and Shuttle. Pick-up times have been scheduled using your flight itinerary. Upon arrival at Hartsfield – Jackson Atlanta International Airport, please proceed to baggage claim to meet your driver. Your driver will have a Kresge CREWS sign. If you have any last-minute changes to your itinerary, you may contact MTI Limo and Shuttle at 404-669-0900 (24-hours).
What to bring?
- In addition to your energy, a positive attitude and a smile, for Day 2, please come prepared for our off-site service visits. Please wear comfortable work clothes (jeans, sweats, and necessary outdoor wear gear), as some of the service activities will be outdoors.
- We will also be offering yoga on the morning of Day 2, so bring comfortable clothing if you'd like to participate. Yoga mats will be provided.
- If there are any reports, resources, books, or gifts you would like to share with your partners, we will have a resource table available to share these items. Bring as many copies as you like!
