Anthony Welter
Director – Construction and Mining Segment
Eaton Corporation - Hydraulics Group

Anthony Welter is the global marketing leader for the construction and mining segment. He is responsible for representing Eaton’s complete hydraulic product and solutions capabilities in the segment, coordinating a global growth strategy, and supporting global sales and marketing efforts targeted at construction and mining customers.

He joined Eaton in 1998 and has progressed through several roles within
Eaton, including engineering, manufacturing, business development, and
product management positions. Prior to his current post, he was product
manager for Eaton’s mobile controls portfolio.

Tony’s achievements include the acquisition and integration of two valve
companies that substantially expanded the product and technology
offering of Eaton’s mobile controls portfolio. He also led the justification
and investment of key product development programs for electrohydraulic control and valve products.

Tony holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from
the University of Minnesota and a Master of Business Administration
degree from the Carlson School of Management at the University of
Minnesota. He also holds Six Sigma Black Belt Certification.


 

Bob Sheaf
Founder of Certified Fluid Consultants (CFC) and President of CFC-Solar, Inc. 

Bob has been directly involved with fluid power for over 40 years and is a recognized authority throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico. He has taught fluid power courses for over 30 years.

Mr. Sheaf worked for five years at a General Motors division as a Process Control Engineer troubleshooting and improving hydraulic and electrical systems. For nine years, he managed the Hydraulic Power Unit Division of Pabco Fluid Power, a distributor of Vickers hydraulic components. At the Kinnear Corp. his duties for 6 years involved mechanical design and field service.

In 1981, Mr. Sheaf started his own business focusing on field service, training and consulting. He has served two years on the Board of Directors for the Equipment Service Association and was a director for the ESA Scholarship Fund. His active involvement (23 years) with the Fluid Power Society (FPS) includes service as President, Director on the Board of Directors, Chairman of the Certification Board and Past President of FPS Publications. Mr. Sheaf holds the following FPS Certifications:

- Master Technician (Pneumatic, Mobile and Hydraulic) Certification
- Fluid Power Specialist (Hydraulic and Pneumatic) Certification

Ernie Parker
Fluid Power Engineering and Manufacturing Instructor at Hennepin Technical College

His accomplishments to date, are numerous: Ernie teaches 12 different classes, holds 23 certifications and licenses, fosters collaborations with local high schools, industry and universities, and has educated students who pass national certification exams with scores far above the national average.

Parker’s influence extends well beyond the classroom. Not only does he provide expertise to his students in the fluid power program, he also delivers industry training to local, regional and national manufacturers. He is actively involved in the college’s service activities: assisting with college tours, dedicating time to the college’s foundation fundraising efforts, and helping students at local high schools with their high-tech activities.

He is a member of the Shakopee and Lakeville advisory boards, past president of the International Fluid Power Society and student advisor for Skills USA. In 1988 he was the recipient of the International Fluid Power Society National Educator of the Year Award.

The content and professional expertise that Parker brings to his teaching is seen through his networking with the industry to understand the
changing demands of employees. He has served as a team leader for
Hennepin Technical College’s manufacturing program and is an active
member of the Society of Automotive Engineers and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. He holds a combined 23 certifications and licenses (hydraulic mechanic, fluid power specialist, radar technician, State of Minnesota electrical license, among them) and his hydraulic-hybrid engineered vehicle was featured in national magazines.

 

Bruce Besch
Hydraulic System Engineer, Value Added Systems
Parker Hannifin Corporation

Bruce Besch is Hydraulic Systems Engineer for the Mid-west region of Parker Hannifin Corporation. He is part of the Value Added Systems Team. He is responsible for technical support for the field sales team for both Parker's mobile and industrial distribution as well as supporting Parker Industrial Distribution Hydraulic Technology Centers. Bruce joined Parker in 1991 thru an acquisition, Miller Fluid Power, where he managed the Systems Engineering Department, responsible for Hydraulic Power Units, Positioning Cylinders and Controls. Bruce started his career in Fluid Power as 1984 Graduate from Alexandria Tech, then moved to Chicago to work for Perfection Servo Hydraulics, where he managed the servo lab until he joined Miller (Parker) in 1991.

 

Steve Wilson
President
WhiteOak Controls

Steve Wilson is the president of WhiteOak Controls, a leading manufacturer of valve control products. Steve has a degree in electrical and computer engineering. He worked in the consumer electronics and automation industries before cofounding WhiteOak Controls in 1999.

 

Jacob Paso
Motion Control Trainer
Delta Computer Systems, Inc.

Jacob Paso has been involved with high-performance hydraulic motion control for 10 years. After joining Delta Computer Systems, a manufacturer of hydraulic motion controllers, he has progressed from quality assurance to application support to training. Jacob holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Minnesota and a Master of Science degree in electrical engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.

 

Sue Tesauro
Certification Manager
International Fluid Power Society

Sue Tesauro has been the Certification Manager with the IFPS since 2003. Sue assists companies to determine which certification and training programs will best fit their needs. She has successfully implemented online testing, coordinated instructor training programs and is now researching global testing options.

 

Jim Tobul

Jim Tobul has over 35 years experience in hydraulics. Jim is the President of Tobul Accumulator, a well established, globally known, world-class manufacturer of hydraulic accumulators.

 

John Schultz
National Account Manager

Dura-Bar

John is the National Account Manager for Dura-Bar and has been with Dura-Bar for 27 years. He received his Bachelor of Science in Marketing at the University of Illinois. He will be joined by Molly Stieber during the presention who is currently a student at the Milwaukee School of Engineering and Fluid Power Institute.
