In his speech, the Colombian supervisor will present some reflections on the local market behaviors that affect the current level of insurance penetration. In this context, it is proposed that supervision and regulation act as a catalyst for the development of the market and preventing its sustainability from being compromised in the future

In a general overview of the evolution of the relationship between the Colombian State and the Solidarity sector (cooperatives, employee funds, mutual associations, foundations, associations, corporations, community organizations and volunteer groups), Rafael González will present a report on the management of the Special Administrative Unit of Solidarity Organizations - the State entity attached to the Ministry of Labor - since its transformation on November 2, 2011, contextualizing its role in contributing to the stability of the armed conflict and the development of rural solidarity territories.

We will also hear what they are doing to ensure the sustainability and resilience of their organizations in tomorrow’s world and their future goals and ambitions for the cooperative/mutual sector.

Presentation: An era of renewed confidence for cooperative and mutual insurers

The title of the second edition of ICMIF’s CEO InSights report, “An era of renewed confidence”, is intended to reflect the overall impression given by the respondents: that the cooperative/mutual sector is robustly armed for current challenges and is confident about its future growth. In this presentation, ICMIF’s own Chief Executive Shaun Tarbuck will present a compelling picture of the unique leadership within our sector and how the cooperative/mutual business model remains as relevant today as it ever has been.
