Event Description |
Writing well is an essential component of academic success, but it is often challenging for English language learners. In this intensive institute, we will bring together current research on second language acquisition with classroom- tested writing strategies and approaches for Common Core language arts instruction with English language learners. We will focus on the needs of adolescent English learners as they develop both their English language proficiency and their confidence and skill as writers. Participants will receive a notebook full of teaching resources and ideas.
