Supply Chain Simulation Game [Perth]

Play with us, Supply Chain Simulation Game for MRO Supply Chains. Modelled on the famous Beer Distribution Game, we apply best practices to the resources industry.

Supply Chain Planning is a cornerstone for success for any business. It has its own unique flavour for each industry as well. Never before has it required a renewed focus as it does today, especially in the Mining industry. Global volatility of demand makes it ever more important to streamline operations and reduce costs. This exciting and critical area, as misunderstood as it is misapplied, needs a fresh approach towards its understanding and application.

Here, we re-visit supply chain planning concepts and showcase SAP IBP, SAP’s latest flagship supply chain planning product, in a unique exercise that is both fun and educational. This unique exercise will put you in roles where you will have to make real time decisions to ensure your end-to-end supply chain is coordinated & optimized.

On June 28th, at the SAP Offices in Perth, teams will compete to determine the most optimal metrics to measure their MRO supply chain. The entire process will be mapped on a game board to replicate ad-hoc business decisions with ease. In a classic duel between human intuition and bias vs system driven planning. These shall be compared against the teams’ responses to determine which delivers a more optimized plan.

Bristlecone will take you through an interactive Supply Chain Planning exercise where teams will compete to –
• Forecast demand and supply
• Make Ad-hoc decisions in response to unexpected scenarios
• Plan for contingencies such as disruptions in parts supply & demand due to breakdown spikes
• Evaluate MRO supply chain costs

Expanding our view to a live scenario, you shall also hear from Mr. Indrasen Naidoo, Supply Chain Director at Roy Hill, who is transforming their supply chain for maintenance activities to optimise asset availability while reducing inventory costs, by deploying Bristlecone's proprietary industry solution IBPNow for Asset Intensive Industries, a bundled solution for all your MRO Supply Chain Needs.
