Continuing Education

The 2018 Nutraceuticals and Medicine Conference is approved for continuing education for multiple healthcare disciplines. Participants may earn up to the following continuing education (CE) hours:

  • Physicians: 5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™

  • Registered Nurses: 5 ANCC contact hours

  • Registered Dieticians: 5.0 CPEUs

  • Pharmacists: 5.0 ACPE contact hours

  • Dentists: 5 continuing education credits

  • Chiropractors: Approval is pending

This activity is jointly provided by the Postgraduate Institute for Medicine and CGi. Attendees are responsible for verifying that the approving organizations listed above are accepted by their state’s practicing board.

Target Audience

This activity is intended for clinicians interested in the use of nutritional interventions, supplementaon, and nutraceuticals for optimum patient health.

This activity is also intended for professionals who are involved in creating nutritional strategies for their clients or patients, and counseling clients or patients on their nutritional choices.

Educational Objectives

After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:

  • Discuss at least one recent study in the area of nutrition and its implications for patient care planning
  • Discuss the literature related to nutritional supplementation in achieving and maintaining optimal health outcomes
  • Discuss the literature related to nutritional supplementation in cardiovascular disease
  • Discuss the literature related to nutritional supplementation in aging
  • Describe potential interventions in your practice to improve patient nutrition
